Rx-178 Gundam Mk-ii Ver 20 Titans Mg Review

1 of the best unboxing experiences of 2020 that I've experienced.

Finally, after spending too much time screwing effectually with the thought of getting the MG Gundam Mk-2 Ver.2.0, I've gotten around to getting one. Although honestly, this isn't my first MG Gundam Mk-Two Ver.2.0 kit. That is because I've gotten and built the Titans version before this.

So yes, I roughly know what I'm getting myself into here.

However, even with that said, it has been a while since I've built ane, and what's more, this is the first time I've gotten myself the AEUG Version. So information technology might not be the aforementioned.

That is why I still observe myself quite excited to meet all the awesome stuff blimp in this MG variant of the MG Gundam Mk-Two Ver.2.0 kit.

So, without further ado, let us get into it, shall we?

Release Appointment: Oct 2005
Retail price: MYR RM 154.00 ( USD $37.92* / EUR €31.27*)
*The price is subject to modify, depending on the situation

Quite frankly, before I got my hands on this kit, I never understood why I never bothered to go some other MG Ver.2.0 from the Gundam Zeta series. Merely after seeing the box art for this kit, I finally understood why.

Even Though it does have a pretty awesome activeness-oriented box fine art, the matter that really took me off from getting information technology is that ugly font used on the front page of the Boxart.

Yes, I'1000 aware of how piffling it is to complain about a font on an MG box fine art, but when comparing this to the other MG release during this time, I notice that the font hither does look amateurish when compared to the other MG releases in this twelvemonth. It looked then bad that to the bespeak that I could imagine a person finding themselves turned off by the thought of getting this.

Although, to exist honest? It's not like this is the just MG Z Gundam Ver.2.0 series that has this outcome. Because every bit I observed, apparently, other MG Z Gundam Ver.ii.0 kits boxarts take the same ugly tacky font on them. Even with the Titans version, it equally well had the same issue. But somehow, I find it to be less amateurish when compared to this. Simply and so once more, information technology is a kit that was released later, so that might explain why.

But fifty-fifty with that said, I acknowledge, I'k still a fan of the badass fine art (minus the font) hither. The scene showing the Mk-II turning away later on laying waste material to the poor Galbaldy β is quite a powerful scene for me.

Considering as I stare at information technology, I could imagine a scene where Kamille Bidan, piloting the Mk-II, turning away after shooting downward Lila afterward a long fatigued out battle with her.

And at the same time marks the real beginning of Jerid'south hatred of and rivalry with Kamille Bidan throughout the Z Gundam serial.

The more than fourth dimension I spend staring at the MG MK-2 Ver.ii.0 boxart, the more than information technology makes me really want to meet Bandai someday to properly take the time to 'remaster' the whole Z Gundam saga. That is how awesome the box art for this kit looked for me.

But that isn't the but thing that I liked here. That is considering there is the affair of the quite impressive side department part of this box packaging.

Although the boxart tainted by that ugly font used on the front of the box, I acknowledge that the only saving grace the box packaging has hither is its side department. I detect myself immensely impressed by the wealth of content and information that I've learned from the kit. I practise think that all the time that I spend looking at this does help me to reconsider my stance of getting it. It is squeamish to accept the time to acquire of all that this MG kit has to offer.

Which I admit I practice discover to be quite foreign at first.

But and so I realized that what makes this MG side department stands out from the balance of the other MG releases that I've seen to date is that information technology'south not text-heavy as the rest. There is no insanely long excessive lore on it, and all-time of all, they kept the written data on the gimmicks good enough for me to go through.

What this ultimately ways is that you lot get to see more of the promotional materials closely and intimately. Which nosotros do acknowledge, may help you greatly in considering your decision on this kit.

Simply that is considering if one takes the fourth dimension to inspect the box. Because in that location were many times that I found myself passing this MG off due to that ugly font used on the box. After taking the time to become through the packaging, I honestly feel bad for not taking the time to really inspect the box packaging to larn more about it.

Although that isn't the only matter about this kit that I observe quite impressive, because as I unboxed this MG kit, information technology made me recollect the reason why I dearest all the early MG Ver.2.0 gunpla kits.

Why?

Well, that's because the level of detail seen on the parts hither looked equally good as all the OYW MG Ver.two.0 kits that I've worked on to date. Even though it doesn't come up as a surprise to me since I've worked on the Titans version previously, but absolutely, it was dainty to see that it's still looked as practiced every bit I remembered it to exist.

From the color separation to all the insane item seen on some of the runners, one tin't help to wonder why Bandai didn't continue making MG kits that had parts that looked every bit adept as these?

Aye, they did well with the MG Barbie, I admit, but honestly, I wish they would put the same kind of effort in crafting an MG kit that had parts that looked as good as the MG Barbie and this.

Fifty-fifty the MG Mk-II Ver.2.0's manual was a joy for me to go through. Yes, I know I've said this a lot of times already at this phase, but I honestly feel like this is one of the all-time manuals that I've seen this yr. It'southward an MG manual that comes with an affluence of lore on each page, telling a story of how this MS came to be. While at the same time managed to be a lot different to what we are all accustomed to here.

But the thing that got me here is when I become through the MG Mk-II's edifice instructions department. Because it is clear to me that from spending time staring at this, I realized that this particular bit is even so in that old MG manual format. That is why I mentioned earlier that this MG manual'south filled with alot of badass lore on each page because it's based primarily on the sometime MG manual format.

Simply fifty-fifty with that said, there are $.25 here and in that location that remind me of the new MG transmission format. Information technology looks as if that Bandai is withal making that slow transition to the new MG Transmission format with this MG kit.

Overall, the whole unboxing feel of this MG kit has been quite an feel for me. It's one that I enjoyed going through immensely and one that does brand me look forward to working on when I finally get to practise so, somewhere next year.

Just for at present, it's time for me to get back to building the crawly RG Force Impulse.

With that, ends today's Unboxing and First impressions mail of the MG 1/100 RX-178 Gundam Mk-2 (MG) by yours truly. Quite frankly, this might be one of those MG kits that I Actually enjoyed working on the Unboxing bit, and it has been quite a while since I've unboxed something that managed to make me quite excited to kickoff piece of work on information technology.

Hopefully, the next upcoming MG kit that I'll unbox would exist equally fun and every bit entertaining to unbox as I did here.

Anyway, it would exist quite interesting to hear your thoughts on my unboxing of this MG kit. Practise y'all guys experience the same things that I did hither? Or are yours a bit different?
