"Tell Your Heart to Vanquish Once again" is a vocal written by Bernie Herms, Randy Phillips, and Matthew West and originally recorded past Gimmicky Christian-Worship trio, Phillips, Craig and Dean for their twelfth studio album, Breathe In (2012).[ane] It was later on recorded by American vocalist Danny Gokey for his 2nd studio album, Promise in Front of Me (2014), with production past Herms. "Tell Your Heart to Beat Again" is a midtempo, pianoforte-driven ballad written by Bernie Herms, Randy Phillips, and Matthew W. An accompanying video was directed by Kristin Barlowe and premiered June 1, 2016.[7] It focuses on a woman who releases her sadness through dance and a human being who takes upward boxing to defend himself subsequently a mugging incident, both shown to have grown stronger through their struggles.

"Tell Your Eye to Beat Once again" entered the Christian Songs chart dated Baronial 8, 2015 as an anthology track.[9] It re-entered at 32 on the nautical chart dated Jan 2, 2016 following the announcement of its release as a unmarried.[10] The vocal reached its summit position of two on the nautical chart dated Apr 16, 2016 and was the week'south greatest gainer in digital sales.[11] In reaching this position, the song surpassed 2014'due south "Hope in Front of Me" as Gokey'south highest-charting entry.[12] It peaked at number two on the Christian Digital Songs sales nautical chart the same calendar week.[thirteen]
